The service center charged me $200. The service center said that the camera's sensor had been damaged, so they replaced the camera body for free, along with the memory card and charger. I now have a brand new camera body and a brand new memory card. So what should I do with the old one? It's only two months old and the warranty hasn't expired. I know that I can return the camera to Nikon and get a replacement, but would there be anything to be gained by keeping the camera? Re: For a Pro I think a warranty replacement is the best thing to do. I think you have the best outcome from returning it to Nikon. The risk of losing the lens or other accessories is small and most of us don't keep all our gear. Thanks for the info. I wish Nikon would have posted a simple FAQ. I suppose that would have helped me to save the $200 for the camera repair. I really don't care about the accessory I'm still
